Practical SEO workshops for Alberta communities
Workshop participants collaborating on content strategy

We started because we needed it ourselves

Back in 2018, finding practical SEO training in our area meant driving hours or sitting through generic webinars. We figured there had to be a better way to learn content strategy without leaving town.

What we actually do

We run workshops where you work on real content projects. Not theory sessions or lectures about best practices. You bring your website or business idea, we show you how to research keywords, structure content, and measure what works.

Each workshop runs for four weeks with weekly sessions. Between meetings, you complete assignments on your own content. We review your work, answer questions, and help you fix what's not working.

How we got here

2018

Started with six people meeting in a shared workspace. Taavi had been doing freelance SEO for local businesses and kept getting asked to teach the basics. First workshop covered keyword research and on-page optimization.

2019

Moved online after realizing people from neighboring towns wanted to join but couldn't make the drive. Rewrote all materials for remote delivery. Lost some of the in-person energy but gained flexibility.

2021

Ingrid joined to handle technical SEO topics. She'd been working with e-commerce sites and brought expertise in structured data and site architecture. Added advanced workshops for past participants.

2023

Built collaborative tools so participants could share feedback on each other's content during workshops. This changed the format from instructor-led to peer-supported learning. Results improved noticeably.

Now

Running ongoing workshops with a mix of beginners and returning participants. Testing new formats for content performance analysis. Still based in Myrnam, still focused on practical skills you can use immediately.

How we run workshops

We don't lecture for an hour then send you home with theory. You work on your actual content during sessions. We show you a technique, you apply it immediately to your project, we review what you did.

Weekly sessions: Two hours, limited to twelve participants so everyone gets individual attention
Real assignments: Work on your own website or business between sessions, get specific feedback
Peer review: Share drafts with other participants, learn from seeing different approaches
Measurement focus: Track rankings and traffic, adjust based on actual data not assumptions

Local focus matters

We understand Alberta business challenges because we work with them daily. Seasonal traffic patterns, regional search behavior, local competition. Generic courses miss these details.

Practice over theory

You learn SEO by doing it, not reading about it. Every workshop includes hands-on work with real tools. By week four, you've optimized actual pages and can see results starting to appear.

Next workshop starts soon

Four-week format, limited to twelve participants. Beginner-friendly but works best if you already have a website or business to optimize. Check current schedule and registration details.
